Our team builds and operates Microsoft's SAP platform, along with a portfolio of first-party and third-party applications and services and is leading work to create a blueprint for the industry to drive business results through SAP on Azure.

Data governance is the formal orchestration of people, process, and technology to enable the organization to leverage data as an enterprise asset. The Program Manager 2 will be responsible for leading multiple MDM (master data management) business transformation efforts to develop globally harmonized data standards and improve business processes to ensure we maintain 'one data source of truth' and robust data governance. They will ensure ownership lives within the functions, define the security, and data validation rules that enable the governance processes. They will work closely with the cross-functional teams to build out our organizational capability in the use of SAP MDG and support our enterprise-wide implementation of SAP S/4 HANA. You will coordinate multiple engineering and business stakeholders focusing on new SAP functionality within the area of MDM. Your role will to be to ensure we implement the right MDM scenarios and features within SAP MDG in support of the and the resulting change management from a systems, data, and process perspective.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

* * Facilitate MDM workshops with business process owners to define/develop global data standards, global data management processes, and data classifications to support expected key business outcomes.
* Collaborate and consolidate the data related business needs.
* Develop/present policy proposals to business stakeholders.
* Coordinate and implement key global MDM business transformation initiatives and identify associated change impacts on the organization (ie. Data profiling, data cleansing, data quality, and data governance process evaluation)
* Document key decisions made and develop/maintain process documentation.
* Works closely with the organization's functional leaders and ERP implementation teams to help find solutions to the organization's toughest issues and provides internal consulting support for evaluation and implementation across the organization.
* Identify and leverage executives, IT support, business leaders, and global subject matter experts needed to drive the development, design and adoption of new business processes and practices.
* Assess business and application requirements and design robust business processes while considering leading industry business practices.
* Leads critical initiatives requiring analytical and decision support to frame key issues, develop hypotheses, assess risks, conduct analyses, and identify potential solutions prior to mobilizing commitment and designing broader implementation and engagement plans.
* Identify and report roadblocks and variances to project plan, ensure projects are on schedule and achieve stated objectives. Coordinate with team members to identify and document resource constraints.
* Take ownership in all project issues and problem resolution while leading team to fact-based decision making.
* Ability to lead change while achieving business goals and objectives.
* Understanding of how data is used within business processes and its impact on desired business process outcomes.
* Awareness of the security, privacy, ethics and quality requirements for critical data entities
* Experience with data analysis techniques
* Solid project management skills to guide point-in-time and ongoing targeted data quality, retention, security, privacy and ethics improvement projects.
* Deep and comprehensive understanding of the importance and impact of data (or bad data) on the ability of the business to meet its own objectives.
* Hands-on, results-oriented and pragmatic.
* Creative, flexible, strategic thinker, able to work in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic work environment.
* Facilitation and conflict resolution skills to assist in resolving the different points of view and requirements that invariably collide during cross-team and cross-organization efforts.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent presentation skills and the ability to adapt to differing audiences (from clerical positions to the senior management team)
* Ability to influence cross-functional peers and subordinates to modify behaviors and provide support for the adoption of data governance policies.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
* Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills, including proficiency in statistical analysis.
* Team player who can also work independently and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

* 5+ years' experience in an engineering related position including, but not limited to, program management, solution management, product management, consultant.
* 5+ years' experience in implementing SAP MDG or related Data Governance projects
* Strong technical knowledge in: SAP MDG, Integration with S/4, ECC, Data governance using workflows, Data conversion.
* Strong industry knowledge data governance and relevant standards
* Demonstrated engineering PM skills and a track record of project execution.
* Experience in conversions and implementing S4/HANA with focus on data transformation and or Finance.

* Experience with Central Finance / MDG-F
