Job Description
The McDonalds Global Impact Team (GI) is one team aligned around a mission to make McDonalds one of the most respected, trusted, and admired brands in the world. We will do this through actions to drive responsible business growth, investments to foster community, values-based advocacy, and compelling communications that matter to our customers, our System and our global stakeholders.

The Manager, Global Impact Alignment, will report to the Sr. Director, Strategic Planning, Alignment, & Operations, supporting efforts to work across the Global Communications, Global Sustainability & ESG, Global RMHC, Government Affairs, and the US and International Corporate Relations teams. The Manager, Global Impact Alignment will support work related to Global Impacts annual strategic and Phase Planning processes in partnership with Corporate Strategy, regular Global Impact Leadership Team (GIL) alignment meetings, function budget and operations, Board engagement, special projects, and efforts to strengthen our culture and ways of working.

Global Communications Team Alignment and Support

Strategic Planning: Support development and deployment of annual and long-term global phase planning processes across Global Impact while aligning with SMEs and partners functions, including Brand, Supply Chain, People, Legal, Strategy, Finance and market Sustainability leads; work with leaders to provide high-level to detailed summaries of work, provide leadership with key insights regarding daily operations, month-over-month progress and advise on metrics for success for sub functions in the department;

Project Management: Responsible for project management for special projects as assigned (e.x. convenings); initiate, organize, and facilitate special project teams to execute in support of integrated plans across Global Impact (e.x. virtual war rooms for issues). Refines and maintains a common program management framework and tools to build the capability and PMO muscle within the organization.

Process Development: Develop and deploy collaboration tools and processes to facilitate standard methodology sharing and foster connectivity (e.x. quarterly integrated plans, reporting tools and templates, etc). Facilitates alignment on tracking the current plans performance through regular forums and communications with leaders, project managers, and communication leads across the McDonalds system.

Culture: Devise and execute a communications and engagement strategy to strengthen and enhance culture and develop talent; develop and foster relationships with Global Impact Team members (e.g. townhalls, career pathing plans, values workshops). Establishes environments and forums for innovation, collaboration and best practice sharing within the team. Support work to promote positive culture, build and maintain relationships.

Meeting Support: Work with GIL to develop agenda, time and priorities; support planning and execution of leadership meetings (coordinate pre-reads and meeting materials, and ensure effective follow-up on key decisions); coordinate GIL team meetings including regular operational meetings and off-site planning meetings, and all department team meetings.

Qualifications
This individual would bring consultative skills (listening, facilitation, and synthesizing sophisticated information) to the table, alongside writing and presentation skills.

* Experience in a business management role, with a special focus on executive-level communication, with a history of being proactive, strategic and solutions-focused.
* Experience in project management and with methodologies (PM certification preferred)
* Proven Experience with process mapping preferred
* Proven experience utilizing measurement and analytics tools
* Demonstrated experience working with and supporting senior leaders and executive

Reacting and improvising as necessary and working autonomously to complete both well-defined and ambiguous projects.
