Job Description
Job Responsibilities
Design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging
Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
Assist in providing feedback on others work including presentations, drawings and models, and communicating ideas and results to other engineers and management
Ensure documentations are consistent with SEMI, Lam Standards and other standards as applicable (ANSI, DIN etc.)
Provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation
Directly support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication
Develop and present reports/presentations that communicate design intent, analysis, and validation at executive-level meetings
Work with potential suppliers to ensure parts can be manufactured in accordance with performance and cost objectives
Collaborate with cross functional team to ensure hardware designs meet overall product objectives
Other Job Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
* Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or a Masters degree with 5 years experience; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience
* Extremely knowledgeable using 3D CAD tools such as ProE, NX, etc. is required
* Ability to work in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities
* Strong skills and experiences in problem solving, time and priority management, communication, and project management
* Ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance
* Good communication skills, ability to work well with other teams to meet production goals
* Strong design background coupled with solid engineering skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Semiconductor industry experience is not required, but a plus
* CAD (NX and Inventor)
