Job Description

Integrated Genetics, part of LabCorp's Specialty Testing Group is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator Lead to join its team in Philadephia, PA. This position will be responsible for coordinating the day to day patient service coordinator services for Integrated Genetics' Genetic Counseling services. The Patient Services Coordinator Lead will oversee the workflow and work closely with the Supervisor to implement operational best practices, optimize client satisfaction, and maximize efficiency in order to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee implementation of workflows and division of the Patient Service Coordinator tasks to ensure successful completion

* Provide primary and backup coverage for all office activities, including answering phones and ensuring phone coverage is met

* Schedule appointments for genetic counseling and related procedures, and complete appropriate follow-up

* Maintain all aspects of chart flow

* Develop expertise in ICIS, the scheduling platform, and any new IT systems

* Provide feedback to the Supervisor on employee performance

* Assist with new hire orientation and training of staff

* Identify conflicts, scheduling issues, client and staff complaints; work with the supervisor to resolve relevant internal and external client or staff issues

* Communicate proactively with the Supervisor and other relevant internal clients

* Attend and contribute to regular departmental meetings

* Maintain office area including (but not limited to): requesting supplies, arranging for equipment maintenance, interacting with building maintenance

* Monitor systems including phone, postage, copier, faxing, e-faxing systems, and computer. Notify relevant provider of outages or issues

* Follow Labcorp policies regarding protected health information (PHI); maintain confidentiality

Requirements

License/Certification/Education:

* HS Diploma or GED equivalent required

* Minimum 3 years of experience in a medical office or similar setting

* Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

* Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office

* Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond

* High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills

* Must be courteous with strong customer service orientation

* Excellent multitasking abilities required

* Bilingual skills (Spanish) is a plus
