Asset & Wealth Management, with client assets of $3.2 trillion, is a global leader in investment and wealth management. Risk Management - Business Management

The firm's independent risk management framework and governance structure are intended to provide comprehensive controls and ongoing management of the major risks inherent in its business activities. It is also intended to create a culture of risk awareness and personal responsibility throughout the firm. The firm's ability to properly identify, measure, monitor and report risk is critical to both its soundness and profitability.
The Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) Risk Management team, led by the AWM Chief Risk Officer (CRO), is aligned to the AM and WM sub-lines of business covering the broad spectrum of risks inherent in the AWM business. Our independent oversight includes Credit Risk, Fiduciary Risk, Counterparty Risk, Investment Risk, Reputation Risk, and Market Risk
AWM Risk Business Management supports Risk Management processes across all AWM business lines, functions and risk stripes. The team drives critical initiatives and internal presentations for the AWM Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to C-level management within AWM and the firm, such as the AWM Operating Committee (AWMOC), Risk Operating Committee (ROC) and Board of Directors such as the Risk Committee (RC). The team works with members of staff across Asset & Wealth Management, as well as other Business/Program Managers and stakeholders from key partner groups including Firmwide Risk, Finance, Oversight and Control, and Human Resources. The team also manages Risk Governance Committees, globally.
Job Responsiblities
Business Management:
Support AM Chief Risk Officer and AM Regional Heads of Risk
* Responisible for coordinating and creating internal presentations for the AM Chief Risk Officer, senior management within AM, the Firm and regulators.
* Coordinate the preparation of AM Risk specific materials for Regulatory Exams/Senior Management Meetings; execute on various strategic requests directly related to AM Risk.
* Provide a centralized, consistent content, voice and format for regulatory meetings and client language.
* Maintain / develop internal presentations/materials for the AM Chief Risk Officer and Regional Heads of Risk.
* Provide regional coordination of global initiatives.
Drive Risk Strategy
* Support the delivery of strategic business initiatives.
* Support communication of strategy, performance and priorities.
* Provide input and support to management reporting.
* Develop and monitor effective business continuity plans.
* Partner with AWM Risk and Wealth Management Risk Business Management Teams for various requests and initiatives.
Risk Governance
* Support management of AM Risk Governance and global Risk Committees which includes creation of committee materials, Minutes documentation, and tracking of follow-ups.
* Implement requirements from Firmwide Risk Governance team to adhere to Firmwide Risk Governance Standards.
* Coordinate Board reporting across funds / regions; provide support to risk asset class leads through reconciliations and material prep.
* Partner with the AM Risk Team for various Forum presentations including tracking Forum recommendations.
Reputation Risk
* Support the cooridnation and/or preparation of materials for Business Heads/ Regional CEOs as well as track follow-ups and approvals for the AM Reputation Risk Committee (AM RRC).
* Support preparation of materials for Business Heads/ Regional CEOs as well as track follow-ups and approvals for the AM Reputation Risk Committee (AM RRC).
* Partner with the Business for Committee preparation including documentation and required attendees.
Policy & Procedure Management
* Oversee and manage the Business for Committee preparation including documentation and required attendees.
Project Management
* Partner with the AM Risk team to oversee key deliverables and ad-hoc project. Manage projects to completion including coordinating working groups and tracking follow ups.
Skills/Experience Required
The Business Management Associate will need to be able to understand Risk and Asset Management concepts to be able to highlight key messages from detailed analyses performed by the team or by others. Deliverables are often related to ad-hoc and unanticipated requests, so the Associate must be able to deal with changing priorities, making good decisions about how to get the work done and communicating immediately where there are real risks to on-time delivery. Attention to detail and accuracy is critical, given the executive audience for much of the teams work.
* Minimum Bachelor's degree
* 4 - 6 years Business Management, Planning & Analysis (P&A), Finance, Risk, Controls Management, and/or Audit experience preferred
* Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, comfort with working and partnering people at all levels
* Ability to work and interact with all levels of senior management and employees within the organization
* Proactive and action oriented, with strong analytical skills and ability for problem solving
* Ability to support the management of complexity and multiple workstreams
* Ability to build strong relationships across the organization's key support areas
* Existing knowledge of financial markets
* Background in Asset Management and/or Risk, including a high level understanding of products and services
