Job Description
Overview: Responsible for pharmaceutical manufacturing in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP). Responsibilities:Ensures consistent completion of all the planned manufacturing activities assigned to the shift and him/herself.nMinimize waste of the resources (worktime, materials, and components).nOrganize workplace to maximize the throughput and minimize risks of errors.nFollow well defined procedures closely, with attention to detail.nPractice strong aseptic technique.nDocument activities accurately and clearly as per GDP.nOperate manufacturing equipment according to well defined procedures.nDaily monitoring of the process.nMinor maintenance of manufacturing equipment.nPreparation of media, supplements, and/or buffers, where applicable.nRevise/draft standard operating procedures (SOPs) as necessary.nReport and document deviations, when encountered.nTrain new employees, where qualified.nOrganize/trend data, where applicable.nTroubleshoot and recommend corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs), where applicable.nDraft deviations, CAPAs, and/or change controls, where requested.nReview completed manufacturing batch records for accuracy.nRevise manufacturing batch records, where applicable.nAct as single point of contact on the manufacturing floor.nMotivate, mentor and coach the team.nEnsure shift activities are performed in accordance with the schedule in order to support organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).nEnsure compliance in operations.nProactively communicate and escalate to management any outstanding issues, or concerns of a compliance, quality, safety, or any other critical matter. Qualifiacations:Bachelors degree in the sciences or engineering discipline with 2 to 5 years experience in a cGMP manufacturing industry setting with at least 1 year of experience in a leadership role.nMust possess strong communication (oral and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills.nAbility to work well within a team environment.nAbility to document clearly and accurately as per GDP.nAbility to follow SOPs as written.nPossess strong aseptic technique.nBe proficient with MS Office.nTrain new manufacturing specialists as per established SOPs.nMentor and lead by example.nHave an aptitude for troubleshooting.nBe proactive in identifying, communicating and escalating issues.nHave ability to closely review documentation as per GDP.nAbility to forecast and plan for daily manufacturing activities.
