The opportunity

SAP ships best in class tools for spend like SAP Concur (travel and expense), SAP Ariba (procurement) and SAP Fieldglass (external workforce). We are now building analytics tools for our customers that provide an integrated view across these and products as a Total Spend Management solution.

The Product Manager Total Spend Management (TSM) will be responsible for the delivery of the TSM solution. You will partner with the product leadership team, strategic PMs, feature PMs and LOBs across SAP and ISM Engineering organization to deliver TSM. In this role you will be responsible for understanding the business requirements related to TSM analytics product delivery and turning them into technical requirements for the feature product managers.

Your key responsibilities:

* Work with strategic PMs to write feature requirements and acceptance criteria for the feature PMs
* Work with technology groups across SAP to specify the requirements for underlying technologies (e.g. SAC: SAP Analytics Cloud) that TSM utilizes.
* Work with the PMs in ISM and other parts of SAP to prioritize their backlog
* Report back to the TSM team and leadership on product delivery status
* Track and Report Team Status & Effectiveness
* Align with engineering and architecture teams on target architecture and technology framework
* Identify process for onboarding customers to product / function / feature
* Develop testing and quality assurance plans
* Understand and Adhere to SAP standards
* Plan and present demonstrations of the TSM solution

Qualifications:

* Successful experience in product management execution and engineering partnership
* Understanding of current and evolving industry trends in spend management
* Proven understanding of corporate and operational functions and how product management supports their needs
* Passion to deliver high-quality experiences on a global scale
* Metrics and data-driven to continuously deliver process improvement
* Excellent interpersonal skills; highly collaborative with confirmed ability in business partnering and influencing executives, internal customers and management of third-party vendors
* Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on analysis and resolution of complex technical issues across teams and functional areas
* Ability to be nimble through constant change and unexpected challenges
* Self-starter and results-oriented, able to work under minimal mentorship
* Experience working in data platforms, data management / governance, reporting and analytic areas is a huge plus
* Experience in the procurement or travel industry is a huge plus

Experience would include:

* 6+ years of experience in the field of Product Management is required,
* 3+ years of Spend Management experience desired
* Demonstrated ability to gather and document requirements and partner with technical teams to transform them into delivery framework artifacts.
* Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical audiences.
* Experience applying critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills toward identifying opportunities and decisions.
