We are hiring for the position of Product Owner: BT/ES (Force.com). The title of this role is Sr. Manager, Product Management and it will report to Director, Product Management in Business Technology.
As a member of the Business Technology Product Management team, the Product Owner (PO) will lead the development and advancement of products supporting the Employee Success organization at Salesforce. Products managed will include focus on the employee experience, providing employees with a personalized solution for finding information and resources, getting assistance, and making use of SF facilities and return to office opportunities. The PO will also partner with the TMP team in the development of requirements for Go To Market products, and lead Customer Zero activities for Force.com products in this domain.
The PO is focused on the long and short-term vision of the product, harmonizing internal business partners interests with IT delivery, and representing the product to the stakeholder and solution contributor community. The PO closely works with our internal business partners and internal & external delivery partners to develop a roadmap of solutions needed to support key business processes. The PO then prioritizes the request backlog and manages the translation of requirements into user stories for a world-class team of software engineers and business systems analysts.
Responsibilities:
* Owns the delivery of a product roadmap for Work.com, Concierge and other Force.com products. Develops and maintains a product roadmap for the delivery area that synthesizes the needs of business customers over the long and short term. Manages delivery expectations with customers.
* Effectively negotiates work scope with business partners to align on objectives around business value and solution approach.
* Owns the delivery of user stories and acceptance criteria that represents the requirements provided by the business.
* Drives the feature assessment, requirements gathering, and documentation.
* Works with the scrum team(s) in planning and execution of their work.
* Responsible for delivery to plan, and basic problem resolution. Works with business and IT stakeholders to prioritize work to be delivered by the delivery teams at a sprint level. Work directly with software engineers, BSAs, and system specialists on product delivery.
* Manages business engagement and communicates delivery scope, status, and questions back to business.
* Serves as the team's primary conduit to their business partner(s). Works with multiple businesses, IT, and Product stakeholders.
* Looks ahead to identify delivery capacity needs based on the roadmap and works with management to address them.
* Anticipates blockers, conflicts, and obstacles, and escalates appropriately to solve.
* Guides business partners through the work intake process, highlighting milestones and artifacts and understands the value behind them. Manages and communicates tradeoff decisions between scope (value in expected ROI) and schedule (higher operating expense in longer release cycles)
* Act as the subject-matter expert for solutions owned by the team.
Experience/Skills Required:
* 8+ years experience with the development and implementation of HR technology solutions. Experience with Salesforce and Workday products preferred.
* 5+ years of large-scale global program/project management experience, with the ability to lead multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously, achieve target completion dates and manage the program budget.
* Business background with understanding of customers, digital opportunities and the companys value proposition for its HR products.
* Bachelors Degree in a technical or closely related field, MBA preferred.
* Experience with enterprise system implementations and solution architecture for global companies.
* Proven experience with process improvement and digital transformation.
* Demonstrated ability to make decisions and recommendations on technology strategies.
* Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Able to work with virtual and global cross-functional teams.
* Demonstrates the Salesforce core values of Trust, Customer Success, Innovation and Equality.
Experience/Skills Desired:
* Product Manager mindset, certified Product Owner/Product Manager preferred.
* Experience with Agile/SCRUM techniques, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or other agile certification preferred.
* Experience with Program & Portfolio management, Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
* Strong focus on enabling scale, delivery excellence, innovation and employee experience (UX/EX) across all products in the Force.com domain.
