Are you ready for a challenging new leadership opportunity? Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RI&S) has an exciting opportunity for a Mission Assurance Lead position at our Aurora, CO location. This position requires an Active TS/SCI Clearance. This position reports to the Space, and Command and Control (SC2), Constellation Management and Protection (CMP) and Intelligence Productions Solutions (IPS) Mission Assurance Lead. This position requires less than 10% travel.

Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RI&S) is seeking an experienced professional Mission Assurance Lead (MAL) to set the Mission Assurance (MA) strategy in pursuits, plan, implement, and guide MA requirements throughout the program lifecycle; as well as identify, advocate, and lead improvement initiatives. The selected professional will partner with program key team members and act as the voice of the customer to autonomously assure mission results. The effective candidate will lead on a large, complex, software-intensive development and sustainment program.

Key job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

* Collaborate with the Program Manager and other senior staff, working as a trusted partner with the Program Office and other Functions.
* Engage on both tactical and strategic level, collaborating with peers across the organizations ensuring implementation effectiveness and encouraging efficiency improvements across the program.
* Ensure delivered products and services meet customer and RI&S requirements.
* Groom program risks and opportunities.
* Provide technical guidance in resolution of high-visibility program MA issues, as well as foster meaningful customer relationships and expectation alignment.
* Provide direction for integration and implementation of MA practices and processes on programs.
* Provide self-guided guidance and direction to the program MA team.
* Support the Aurora-based Constellation Management and Protection (CMP) and Intelligence Productions Solutions (IPS) business areas providing Mission Assurance functional support.
* Provide Mission Assurance guidance to the teams supporting the programs, ensuring they are properly resourced to meet MA requirements, and working at the front-end-of-the-business to provide direction for early and meaningful engagement of MA at early gates to support business capture, including preparation of Bids and Proposals.
* Mentor local Quality/MA engineers; and identify, advocate, support, and lead improvement initiatives, applying Six Sigma methods and resources.

The selected person will perform with minimal supervision:

* Utilize metrics to proactively identify and effectively guide programs quality performance, risks and opportunities
* Proactively communicate with program stakeholders on potential performance risks, assume technical leadership for managing risks and resolution of any high-visibility Mission Assurance issues to prompt closure, while effectively managing communications and Customer interfaces
* Lead and facilitate MA activities including support of Program Management Reviews (PMR), Working Group/User Review events, and technical meetings
* Lead multi-functional teams in problem resolution and continuous improvement activities with an emphasis on Six Sigma, lean practices and other problem-solving improvement methods and resources
* Lead MA teams in performing to expectation and mentoring team members in skill enhancement
* Define Program-specific Mission Assurance requirements and work collaboratively with program Process Owners to implement effective plans ensuring compliant delivery of high-quality products and services
* Establish MA resource requirements, secure budgets, guide program MA tasks to meet budgets, while continually motivating creative solutions and Quality effectiveness
* Ensure the program conforms to Raytheon Technologies policies and procedures, and complies with contractual requirements.

U.S. Citizenship required as the candidate must have an Active U.S. TS/SCI Security Clearance day one of employment.

Required Skills

* Minimum 10 years experience in Engineering, Quality, Program Management, or Mission Assurance
* Ability to effectively interface with internal and external customers
* Experience or thorough working knowledge of Agile and DevSecOps
* The ability to lead, nurture, and mentor others in routine settings and difficult situations
* Ability to collaborate with program team members to develop practical solutions to complex problems
* Experience in leading or a member of Risk & Opportunity Management, assessment, mitigation and capture
* Experience in predictive and proactive measures and metrics assessments and guiding actions to improve performance or mitigate problems
* Experience with large or complex software development projects.
* Experience with estimating and new business proposals
* Working knowledge of Industry and Government Mission Assurance Requirements and Standards
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Excellent written/verbal presentation skills

Desired Skills

* Experience with Raytheon Technologies gating or program phasing (nonrecurring/recurring activities)
* Experience in Earned Value Management and Cost Account Management
* Raytheon Six Sigma or Industry Six Sigma Certification
* ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Manager
* Knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001
* Application and adherence to Quality Management Systems IS0 9001 or AS9100
* Working knowledge of Raytheon Technologies RCAS or a demonstrated closed-loop corrective action system
* Past or present regular member or chair of Failure Investigation Teams

Required Education

* Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
* Bachelor of Art Degrees in an appropriate field of science (Computer Science, Chemistry or Physics)
* Bachelor of Art Degree in Mathematics
