P&G is currently seeking a Sensorial Biology Scientist for a one-year postdoctorate position. The key objective of this project is to develop methods and technical models for GPCR and TRP channel research.
* Development and optimization of a receptor-based assay for quantifying small molecule/receptor interactions.
* Development and experimental validation of a mechanistic technical model for the interactions of specific small molecules with GPCRs and/or TRPs.
* Develop downstream signaling assays to measure signaling events following ligand binding for GPCRs and TRP Channels.
* Application of the experimental methodology and mechanistic model to understanding the impact of complex mixtures on competitive binding and multi-receptor interactions.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have skills in cell biology, receptor biology, organic chemistry, and biochemistry and have a doctoral degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or similar biological field with an emphasis in experimental work on material interactions cell surface receptors and channels.
