Job Description
The PepsiCo Beverages North America (PBNA) Supply Chain is responsible for producing & distributing nearly 2 Billion cases of product through a network of 60+ plants and ~400 DCs annually. The Network Strategy team plays a critical role in helping the supply chain function efficiently, and in delivering optimized landed costs for the products. The team evaluates the full end-to-end supply chain network in identifying sourcing solutions, with a key focus on cost, capacity, capability, and logistics.
* Primary long-term projects involve manufacturing capacity planning and expansion, distribution and warehouse optimization, and innovation sourcing
* Each project optimizes the network in terms of fixed investment vs. production, transportation and warehouse costs. Completed analyses are leveraged in recommendations to senior leadership.
* Key responsibilities consist of database management, input data integrity, scenario design and construction, validation and interpretation of results, and presentation to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
* Data analysis using advanced optimization and data models is required
* Other tactical projects may include advanced modeling techniques such as crew size optimization, site selection, and customer service territory alignment.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Minimum of 7 years of working experience
* Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or similar, masters degree a plus
* Experience in developing and executing models with optimization software such as Llama soft Supply Chain Guru, Logic Net Plus, or i2/JDA Strategist
* Database skills in SQL Server, Data Guru, and Access; plus VBA and ETL
* Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills a must
* Experience and skill with Visualization and Analytics software especially Tableau
* Demonstrated examples of applying knowledge and experience in solving Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sourcing and Logistics problems
* Demonstrated examples of creatively utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills while developing strong relationships with non-technical business partners to deliver results
* Demonstrated success with clear and concise communication in a variety of situations including an explanation of assumptions and results
* Demonstrated examples of understanding client/customer need and adapting to meet those needs
* Internal/external consulting or project management experience a plus
