Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer to join the team. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force rsquo;s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Support Thread Leads in allocation of system requirements to unit level, capability assessment, verification planning, and analysis planning and execution in a Model based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Qualification
Qualifications - External
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor rsquo;s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5+ years of engineering experience OR 3 years with a Masters
* An active DoD Secret clearance with an investigation in the past 6 years
* 3 years experience with requirements tools like DOORS
* Experience with verification amp; validation, risk, and opportunities
Preferred Qualifications:
* An active DoD Top Secret clearance
* Experience with Systems Engineering Requirement definition and verification planning
* Experience with weapon systems
* Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
