Northrop Grumman Space Systems- Propulsion Systems, is recruiting for a Subcontracts Administrator who willprimarily be responsible for subcontracts for build to print hardware used inrocket motors.
What Youll Get To Do:
* Sourcesand procures goods and services of a category nature from many suppliers.
* InitiatesRequests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposedpricing from potential suppliers.
* Establishesagreements with suppliers using a mix of contract types including firm fixedprice and cost reimbursable.
* In conjunctionwith quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality andreliability, as well as supplier ability to support required deliveryschedules.
* Workswith internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for theservices or products required.
* Identifiesopportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk throughtargeted negotiations.
* Issuespurchase orders.
* Managesperformance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with FAR/DFAR regulations aswell as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/exportregulations.
* Employssound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-upactivities.
* Reviewsand approves supplier payment as needed.
* Utilizesprocess tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality,efficiency and continuous improvement.

Qualification
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelorsdegree or 4 additional years of related experience
* 8+ years experience inpurchasing, sales, contracts, or related field
* Works positively in ahigh-energy and fast-paced environment
* Capability to read technicaldrawings and documents
* Aptitude to communicatecomplex technical information to suppliers and internal customers
* Ability to work with littleoversight; take ownership of responsibilities and manage and resolve supplierconcerns in a timely manner
* Communicates quickly andthoughtfully through integrated team structures
* Strong interpersonal skillswith a best-in-class customer service mindset
* Knowledge of government contractingrequirements and regulations (e.g. FAR, DFARS, ITAR, etc.)
* Comfortable leadingnegotiations and preparing price analyses of supplier proposals
* Ability to travel up to 25%of the time
* US citizenship and ability toobtain clearance
Preferred Qualifications
* Experienceprocuring complex machined parts used in solid rocket motors
* Generalunderstanding of solid rocket motor metal parts and tooling
* Abilityto assess supplier capability to produce hardware used in solid rocket motors
