Program Overview
The Comcast Cooperative Educational Program (Co-op) immerses students into the daily operations of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcasts top innovators. Designed for students whose curriculum allows for a cooperative learning track, the co-op becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. Throughout the experience, there is opportunity for exposure to mentorship and professional development while having some fun along the way.
Role Overview
Our organization is focused on supporting the field in hitting their sales and retention goals. The Business Sales team analyzes data / trends to help the business make decisions on where to focus resources, change tactics to improve results and set ourselves up for success as it relates to meeting budget and forecast expectations. We are engaged from the front-line level up the senior leader level in every region and division of Comcast, working hand-in-hand to make Comcast Business the best place to sell. We support and guide everything from rep training to incentives, tools, policies and processes.
The Business Sales position will report to the Comcast Business SMB Sales organization. Our organization is focused on supporting the field in hitting their sales and retention goals. The Business Sales position be responsible for analyzing and developing reporting, developing compelling stories to support the data leveraging PowerPoint, supporting initiatives based on business needs and regularly reviewing policies, practices and customer interactions to ensure we are on the right track.
Co-op responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Drive our department's presence on our company intranet
* Support the portfolio management strategy for the $200M+ budget that invests in the development of new products, operational improvements and digital experience
* Support monthly forecasting process and ad hoc financial analysis
* Assist with managing business value metrics and establish reporting to effectively communicate trends
* Partner with business and technology teams to optimize resources and maximize the return on the portfolio budget
* Collaborate with delivery teams to update roadmaps and track launch timelines
Preferred Qualifications
* Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree from a United States-based college or university that has a cooperative learning track
* Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting March 29th, 2021.
* Preferred Majors: Business, Data / Analytics, Communications, Mathematics, Sales, Marketing
* 3.2 minimum cumulative GPA preferred
* SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Tableau
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Familiarity with sales process
* Familiarity with sales and retention key performance indicators
* Basic understanding of statistical analysis
* Comfortable working in databases to extract data
* Strong interest in the telecommunications, cable and media industries
* Ability to work on a team

Base Pay: $18.00
