Position Overview
Scope & Impact
The role will work with Enterprise Wide Initiatives (EWI) Productivity Leader, Category Innovation, Flavor Supply, Commercial Products Supply, Research-to-Experimentation, and other functions with the responsibility for:
* Working closely with global and regional Research & Development, Commercial Products Supply, FS, Technical Supply Chain teams and Enterprise Wide Initiatives Productivity leader to define and deliver Global Cross Category Research & Development Productivity (Formula and Public Affairs & Communications)
* Wiring the Research & Development network on RCG programs by: provide guidance on targets, tracking the progress on sugar reduction, and coordinating with Public Affairs & Communications & Marketing for internal and external reporting.
* Working with Technical Consumer Research and Human Insights on robust productivity and RCG validation protocols and tracking the performance of launches. Identify and advocate for improvement plans as needed.
* Working with Public Affairs & Communications, SRA, global marketing in accelerating and implementing RCG strategy in relevant product portfolio
* Delivering forward looking Research & Development productivity and RCG strategy leading to a robust pipeline of Research & Development initiatives.
Key deliverables for this role include:
* Highly connected and engaged Research & Development productivity /RCG teams
* Effective and transparent Research & Development savings and sugar reduction target setting and tracking in collaboration with finance, Category leaders and Operations Units
* Seamless connectivity with other Enterprise Wide Initiatives related work streams involving Research & Development work
* Effective and timely reporting process in partnership with Research & Development teams and Enterprise Wide Initiatives (EWI) productivity leader for global Research & Development productivity initiatives.
* Partnering with Public Affairs and Communications, SRA and Marketing in accurate reporting of RCG for internal/ external communication (annual sustainability report)
Focus Areas
Key areas of focus for this role can be summarized as follows:
* Establish and manage routines for connecting center and regional Research & Development productivity teams to be one seamlessly networked global Research & Development community.
* Lead the Global Research & Development Productivity community by connecting all Research & Development centers to ensure required synergies and best practices are realized
* Establish and manage RCG network comprising of Research & Development, procurement, supply chain, SRA to progress the work and to address proactively any potential supply related/manufacturing issues.
* Liaise with marketing and Public Affairs and Communications in tracking the RCG progress (sugar reduction and Public Affairs & Communications K-right sizing)
* Partner with Human Insights, Marketing, Research & Development , and Technical Consumer Research for post launch reviews to be shared internally and advocate for results based improvement plans
* Coordinate with Finance leaders to establish appropriate budget and project tracking for productivity initiatives
* Deliver (with collaborations from Research & Development centers) robust Research & Development productivity pipeline with right quality
KEY SUCCESS PARAMETERS
Work Focus
* Corporate Research & Development Productivity-RCG Leadership:
* Connect with global Research & Development Leaders and Subject Matter Experts to understand the productivity needs in support of global Research & Development agenda.
* Leverage internal capabilities to enable the Research & Development productivity initiatives to completion
* Work closely with finance team to ensure appropriate Research & Development savings are captured
* Lead the Research & Development RCG network to ensure progress on initiatives and track the sugar reduction metrics
* Work with Regional Research & Development leaders in allocation and prioritization of the resources across all categories for productivity
* Strong collaboration skills: Ability to develop and maintain value added relationships with multiple constituencies including Research & Development, Technical, Innovation & Supply Chain functional / regional leaders and associates.
* Lead global Research & Development productivity reporting process in partnership with Enterprise Wide Initiatives (EWI) productivity leader
* Lead RCG reporting process in partnership with marketing and Public Affairs and Communication
Stakeholder Management:
Build relationships and networks with stakeholders across the organization.
Facilitate the identification of timelines, dashboards and scorecards for each capability to keep customers and stakeholders current on progress and potential red flags.
Ensure effective and efficient information flow between Coca-Cola Leaders and the Global Technical, Innovation & Supply Chain Leadership team.
* Communication Focus
* Communication and engagement with multiple key stakeholders to gain agreement on the short- and long-term measurements and prototyping capability strategy and plan for Research & Development
* Proactive and clear communication and engagement with all key customers and stakeholders
* The role requires advanced influence, negotiation skills to ensure clear articulation and alignment with stakeholders at senior levels internally and externally.
Experience
Networked working experience in global and regional Research & Development teams to deliver growth, continuity or productivity and global platforms.
