Position Overview:
Logistics Procurement Specialist is responsible for procuring capacity to support CCNA Regions to meet long-term and short-term transportation needs and ensure performance standards. Responsibilities include carrier relationship and performance management, analytical support, and procurement of all modes of transportation.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

* Regional Dedicated Carrier Support: Provide support to regions on dedicated lane additions, removals and working with dedicated carriers on finding backhaul opportunities through network optimization.
* Bid Event Support: Monthly analysis of regional capacity and identify lanes for mini bids. Responsible for annual bid regional support to identify lanes, volume, special customer requirements, lane characteristics, and plant information to ensure accuracy in bidding process
* Performance & Relationship Management: Relationship owner for group of carriers and responsible for leading business reviews. Provide guidance and support of formal performance plans
* Capacity Management: Manage awarded vs. actual to ensure carrier and Coca-Cola are meeting the agreed upon awarded volume
* Analytical Support: Ad hoc analysis to identify areas of opportunity to drive financial and performance improvements and act upon them. Will require advanced excel expertise and preferred candidates will have experience with advanced analytics applications

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (Supply Chain or Logistics a plus)

Related Work Experience:

* 3-5 years truckload transportation experience at a minimum; does NOT include air, ocean, LTL, intermodal or tanker. We need over the road truckload experience
* Strong Excel skills including formulas, vlookups and pivot tables
* Data analysis being able to take large amounts of data and analyze to solve for financial and performance issues
* Extremely large workload with very short deadlines must be able to juggle urgent, daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
* Able to have hard conversations with carriers regarding performance; have to be comfortable being tough when needed

Functional Skills:

* Analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) including primary tender acceptance, on-time pick up and on-time delivery to identify improvement opportunities and work with carriers to drive and track improvements.
* Analysis of lanes over budget to determine factors affecting the rate and make appropriate changes to bring back in line.
* Monthly analysis and reconciliation of awarded vs. actual volume gaps with primary carriers.
* Analysis of transportation impact of network changes such as new facilities, sourcing changes, and new products
* Procure and negotiate short-term rates and capacity to support Regions and Supply Planning
