Caterpillar currently has an opening for a Warehouse Monitor position supporting Reman Drivetrain located in the West Fargo, ND facility. The Warehouse Monitor is responsible for monitoring all systems transactions made by both the data collection system and directly from terminals to assure accuracy and for making timely corrections as required.

Job Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

* Promote positive communication between department and customer base
* Support the values, vision, mission, goals and strategies of the company
* Ensure excellence in customer service
* Perform 5S audits
* Perform Safety Stop Audit observations as required
* Participate in the CI/PID Process
* Any duties or tasks that may be assigned to promote cross training or support for various areas of the shop
* Follow the Caterpillar Production System (CPS) Standard Work Sheets
* Perform other duties as required
* Promote a culture based on our Values in Action
* Follow established facility safety policies, safe job procedures and hazardous risk assessments and using the proper Personal Protective equipment for the specific job being performed
* Work with variety of employees throughout the day to effectively communicate needs and to perform job related tasks
* Proven ability to work in a team setting

* Ensure customer requirements are met

* Ability to Interface with plant management, supervisors and production personnel

Process-Related Tasks and Responsibilities

* Review all released production orders for material availability and if the order is complete, distribute the orders for pulling.
* Monitor open / incomplete Transfer Orders and resolve all issues associated with their completion
* Monitor open Transfer Requests and resolve all issues associated with there completion
* Monitor and resolve system generated IDOC errors for all plants
* Quantify and track errors* being made and document error, immediate fix, and long term resolution so the problem does not reoccur.
* * (example material transactions relative to storage type & qty, BOM discrepancies, & Pull errors)
* Assist with procedure refinement, documentation and training
* Monitor and maintain all storage types
* Identify inconsistent material reservations for production orders and work with Production Planner and Engineering to resolve the problem.
* Perform controlled cycle counts by storage location and or physical location to insure accuracy of that area. As errors are discovered, inform Cycle Counters so corrections can be made.
* Train personnel on acceptable inventory practices and how to identify root cause of problems.
* Ensure communication between warehouse / materials management as well as Production planning, Purchasing, and Engineering to ensure problem resolution.
* Seek out root cause to problems and document problem resolution steps.
* Monitor and Graph department results on a weekly for;
* Time to put away material (24 hour target), new receipts & reman
* Time to complete pulls and issue material to production (24 hour target).
* Accuracy of pulls by production order & Material Handler
* Material transactions errors by type by user.
* Cycle Count Accuracy
* Ensure communication between warehouse and materials management

Basic Qualifications

* Minimum 2 years' experience using SAP preferred

Physical Requirements

* Ability to sit or stand as needed to perform essential functions of the position
* Ability to periodically walk and/or travel to other areas of the plant and other warehouses as directed
* Ability to use keyboard, reach above shoulder height, below the waist, and lift and file documents throughout the day
* Ability to perform safe execution of repetitive motions
* Ability to repetitively lift and carry up to 35 pounds
* Visual and hearing abilities as appropriate for safe execution of job duties, functions and tasks

Additional Information:
Work Hours: 6AM - 4:30PM; Mon- Thurs (occasional OT on Fridays)
Work Location: Fargo, ND
Starting Hourly Rate: $16.50

This is a full time position with full benefits including 401K with 6% company match.
