Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Associate Level Electrical Design Technician to support our business in Springfield, VA. This organization supports mission critical government programs.

The candidate selected for this position will conduct and asses new systems and ensure quality of repairs. Candidate will also conduct quality checks on designs and plans. This position will work with a team of engineers and architects.

Position Responsibilities:

* Conduct assessments of new systems and repairs to ensure quality

* Design and check electrical panels, wire harnesses, and other electrical equipment

* service requests and efficiently troubleshoot and repair electrical systems

* Communicate estimated timelines for design to those impacted

* Design new equipment and wiring to expand infrastructure as needed

This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Security Clearance/Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

Experience reading engineering drawings, plans and specifications

Experience using National Electric Codes (NEC)
Ability to obtain a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph post-start

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

AutoCAD experience

SAP experience

Electrical Design experience

An active Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation: This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
