DESCRIPTION
The FastTrack team builds distributed services and Big Data platforms to understand core customer experiences and drive experience improvements across Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) and beyond. At Amazon, decisions start and end with the customer. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or 4+ year relevant work experience
3+ years of hands-on experience with defining test strategy, writing test plans, and designing and executing software tests
Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining test cases utilizing test automation
Demonstrated experience with defect-tracking tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build and release processes, continuous deployment, and test suite development and maintenance
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
Competency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, or C++.
Excellent written and spoken communication, including quality status reporting.
Strong organizational skills, tracking multiple test executions simultaneously and are able to synthesize the results.
Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements.
Shows creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness.
Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings.
Experience developing in a Linux environment and in utilizing virtual machines.
