DESCRIPTION

Its truly Day 1 for our team in AWS. This is your opportunity to be a founding engineer on a new team thats building a suite of AWS Apps and Services to tackle a huge new problem space. Youll be an integral part of building services that leverage cutting edge AWS technologies like SageMaker, Forecast, Athena, QuickSight, Glue, and more.As an early member of this team, youll wear many hats. Youll help design the overall architecture, youll own large chunks of design and development work for various components, and youll establish the technology processes and practices that will lay the groundwork for the organization as it grows.

Our team is growing quickly and were looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to enable transparency and decision-making across AWS executive leadership by providing critical communication and clear status of the initiatives you own. Working closely with and across agile teams, you will be able to see and feel the impact of your contributions on all of our customers. You will work directly with developers, PMs, and customers to solve challenging problems using the latest technologies (NoSQL, AI, ML, Big Data, etc.). You will make data-driven decisions, prioritize and align roadmaps, and work with leadership across AWS to evangelize our products. Youll drive a culture that values operational excellence, security, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years as a Technical Program Manager or equivalent experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to work successfully across all engineering disciplines
Resourceful - able to deliver results with minimal direction.
Solid understanding of developer tools and cloud technologies
Proven ability to influence senior leadership (Director, VP) level
Strong communication (verbal and written) skills
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with developers, business owners, and senior business leaders
Experience as a software developer, or equivalent experience to demonstrate technical design expertise and understanding of the developer experience
