DESCRIPTION
Do you want to help build the mechanisms that support how AWS customers and partners recruit and hire cloud IT talent? AWS Training & Certification is focused on enabling job seekers to get the in-demand cloud skills they need to launch them into successful cloud careers and are hiring for new roles in our employer engagement team.
We are looking for a highly talented and motivated Program Manager to develop and lead global delivery of virtual job fairs that represent all AWS Education Programs. This person will create the teams global playbook for virtual job fairs that connect job-seekers to employers, own delivery of virtual job fairs with employers in targeted regions, cities and countries and innovate on ways to incorporate other types of career support solutions to improve employment outcomes for job-seekers from AWS Education Programs. With employers increasingly challenged to find and recruit qualified job seekers, this role builds the mechanisms which help new graduates, the recently unemployed and transitioning job-seekers start or advance their cloud careers. You can be an integral part of changing the lives of people around the world.
The Virtual Job Fair Program Manager is a newly-created role in the Employer Engagement team and will work closely across Training & Certification Education Programs to:
Develop the playbook for virtual job fairs for global delivery considering and representing all audiences (e.g. recruiting employers, AWS stakeholders, job-seekers, academic institutions and business consortia)
Plan, organize and execute all details of virtual job fairs in support of AWS Education Programs (e.g. Academy, Educate, Digital Skills, re/Start and other related programs) with employers and job seekers
Manage AWS ongoing engagement with participating employer recruiters to ensure a high quality virtual job fair experience and enable the mechanisms to receive feedback which can be used to continually improve outcomes
Partner with AWS Marketing on messaging, communications, reporting and internal/external representation of virtual job fair outcomes
Analyze and solve problems or blockers at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context; turn stakeholder feedback into actionable insights and recommendations
Codify and share virtual job fair progress and results with appropriate business owners through clear and detailed project reports based upon AWS narrative style
Work closely with AWS cross-functional teams to drive mechanisms that measure the effectiveness and impact of virtual job fairs with respective education program leaders, job seekers and employers
The right candidate is an experienced program manager looking to grow their career in an exciting, creative and nascent part of the AWS Training & Certification team. They are able to effectively navigate through ambiguity and bring new ideas to quickly try, measure and scale programs to succeed. They will be required to dive deep and develop best practices across internal and external teams by deeply understanding each audiences business priorities. While not necessarily a virtual job fair expert, they must be able to successfully multi-task and deliver multiple virtual job fairs for employers across different geographies, ensuring detailed and on-time delivery for all.
Success requires the ability to identify patterns, get in front of issues and bring an attention to detail which will enable smooth operations across multiple and simultaneous events. The successful candidate will execute effective project management processes, with results which can be presented to leadership across the organization. To do this, the successful candidate will need to have exceptionally strong project management skills, a deep curiosity to uncover project blockers (and find ways to overcome them) and a passion for helping to create new systems that enable employers to connect with job seekers.
