Job Description

Oversight and advisory role in Global Remedial Oversight responsible for managing Individually Assessed CCAR/DFAST, overseeing Individually Assessed workflows, serve as a subject matter expert for Troubled Debt Restructuring and the ability to work with complex global remedial portfolio data reporting elements. Responsible for executing independent review and challenge in one or several capital planning workstreams. External communication with regulators/auditors is required. Strong commercial credit background is a necessity. May be involved or responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities and must be willing to work on various credit related projects as needs arise, often without significant managerial oversight.

Responsibilities:

* Manage/coordinate regulatory and audit (internal and external) reviews (including CCAR) to ensure the Global Remedial Organization proactively addresses requests and concerns.
* Support the development of appropriate and diligent responses and remediation plans when regulatory issues (including Fundamental Credit Risk and Internal Audit) and concerns are identified.
* Network closely with partners in other Control Functions and Businesses, to ensure consistent, insightful, and clear communications to regulators. Requires establishing rapport and trust with partners at all levels to support timely and consistent execution of appropriate policies and methodologies globally.
* Understand/interpret various regulatory guidelines to ensure consistent, firm guidance to global commercial portfolios.
* Represent Global Remedial Senior Leadership in various workstreams.
* Support the CCAR/DFAST team under a capital planning sub-workstream.
* Execute review and challenge sessions with the Individually Assessed Sub-workstream Lead and their teams and document the results.
* Analyze the workstream stress testing and projection methodologies and review the workstream methodologies for conceptual soundness, fitness for purpose, completeness of identification of estimation approaches, completeness of identification of assumptions, limitations and weaknesses.
* Direct, coach and mentor across groups/teams without necessarily directly managing others.

* Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

* 10+ years relevant experience
* Highly motivated with attention to detail, team oriented, organized
* Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging
* Sound verbal and written communication, experience with effective reporting to senior management and communication with regulators and audit.
* Strong credit project management skills demonstrating the ability to manage often complex and competing objectives and timeframes.
* Ability to influence and lead people across cultures at a senior level using sound judgment and successful execution, understanding how to operate effectively across diverse businesses
* Demonstrates ability to assess complex issues through root cause analysis and other analytical techniques; structure potential solutions; drive to resolution with senior stakeholders
* Expertise in credit fundamentals, credit policy, commercial/corporate banking, and commercial real estate lending programs supporting commercial lending across Citi Commercial Bank.
* Comprehensive understanding of reporting requirements and applicable regulations, guidelines, and practices.
* Experience with and previous exposure to internal or external control functions and regulators
* Ability to challenge business management and escalate issues when appropriate
* Proficient in computer skills with specific focus in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to learn and leverage varying business specific systems (i.e. CitiRisk) in performance of oversight activities.
* SCO preferred or equivalent expertise in credit fundamentals, credit policy, commercial/corporate banking, and commercial real estate lending programs supporting commercial lending across Citi Commercial Bank.

Education:

* Bachelors degree, preferred Masters degree or equivalent experience
