Job Summary
AECOMs Water Business Line is seeking a dynamic, talented Project Director for immediate employment to be based out of our Chelmsford, MA office. The appropriate qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a client-facing project director on federal, regional, state, and municipal water, wastewater and water resources projects. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
* Directs and manages the entire project from planning through design and construction.
* Overall responsibility of the project including but not limited to financial performance, schedule, staffing, execution, and contract closeout.
* Provides guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and is the primary liaison between AECOM and the client.
* Identifies, pre-positions, and leads business development pursuits for new and existing clients
Minimum Requirements
* BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 8+ years of related experience in water/wastewater/water resources consulting and engineering management
* Registered Professional Engineer
* Demonstrated knowledge of water and wastewater treatment, pumping stations, collection and distribution systems and client/consultant relations experience
* Ability to travel frequently within AECOM's East Region
Preferred Qualifications
* 15+ years of related experience in water/wastewater/water resources consulting and engineering management
* Registered Professional Engineer licensed in Massachusetts or Connecticut or capable of obtaining the required license within 9 months of employment.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Participation in water community activities including Water Environment Federation and American Water Works Association
* Proven ability of leading business development activities, pursuing new clients/projects, and managing project deliveries
* Proven leader with an interest in developing and mentoring team members and demonstrated ability to successfully work in diverse teams
