Job Summary:
In this position you will be part of the Retail Technology team that supports shopDisney/Disney Store and shares developed retail solutions across the Walt Disney Family of Companies. The team relies on the Sr. Business Analyst to provide on-going assistance in development, operations, and optimizations of retail systems through their understanding and documentation of global and regional requirements.
Responsibilities:
Designs and delivers system solutions to support both new initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within the global retail space while ensuring they support overall company goals and IT strategies. Drives the delivery of Store Systems retail projects, enhancements, and new systems by working with cross-functional product teams, business units, and other IT teams to define requirements, develop technical solutions, build test scripts/scenarios, training and develop any necessary technical supporting documentation. Captures business requirements for updates to Disney Retail systems supporting a variety of retail partners including shopDisney/Disney Store, Disney Parks & Resorts, ESPN, and Disney+. Analyzes requirements and creates various forms of documentation to support software development at various levels, front-end and backend. Creates archival documentation to support knowledge transfer once each initiative has completed.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ yrs of experience as a Business Analyst across a number of complex projects. 2+ yrs of experience working in Retail technology. Must have experience with Order Management platforms, preferably IBM Sterling. Extensive experience in business analysis techniques, such as information gathering methods, technical requirements documentation, process modeling and process mapping. Proficient at creating clear and meaningful software documentation using Confluence and breaking down requested features into manageable stories/tasks in Jira. At ease with software development process. Needs to be a self-starter, a quick learner and a good problem solver. Must have the ability to self-manage and complete tasks with limited direction. Attention to detail is critical. Must have a flexible attitude and ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Island Pacific or other retail planning solutions is ideal. Familiarity with Salesforce Commerce Cloud or other eCommerce platforms is a plus.
Required Education
4 year degree, or equivalent experience.
