Position Summary:
Ensures and manages that appropriate nursing care is delivered by utilizing the nursing process and according to accepted standards of the operating room. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously and as needed about patient condition.Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory.Participates in performance improvement activities.Assesses operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met.Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure.

Qualifications:
Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities)
Minimum of two (2) years work experience in the operating room, preferred.
Basic computer knowledge
Required Licenses/Certifications:
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Florida.
Current ACLS,BLS
PALS Certification preferred
Basic EKG or Arrhythmia-ide
Education
Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Masters degree)
Certifications
Required: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. CPR
