Title: Factory Automation ME - 71850

Your Responsibilities

As a Factory Automation Manufacturing Engineer for John Deere, you will lead in development and implementation of small to large Factory Automation (FA) solutions. Additionally, you will:

* Innovate and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope
* Design/update electrical systems and prints for machines or shop floor tooling and equipment including human-machine interfaces (HMI) and programmable logic controllers (PLC)
* Support of shop floor device connectivity (torque tools, test and verification equipment, vision systems, etc.)
* Support integration (installation and networking) of shop floor equipment and tooling into MES and PLCs
* Provide daily support for urgent production issues, including root cause analysis and resolution

What Skills You Need

* Background in Engineering (Electrical, Controls, Computer, etc.)
* Knowledge in PLC and computer programming, Structured Query Language (SQL) and the engineering tools associated
* Knowledge of electrical design and the codes, common practices, and engineering tools required
* Knowledge of MES solutions (SAP-MES, AMES, JDAAT, etc.), mistake proofing of manufacturing processes, and shop floor device connectivity

What Makes You Stand Out

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

* 1 or more years of experience in one or more related engineering areas: electrical, controls, computer, etc.
* 1 or more years of experience with engineering tools, systems and databases
* 1 or more years of experience in electrical design and in the use of electrical drafting software
* 1 or more years of experience in PLC and/or PC programming
* Experience in project management - moderate to large scale complex projects

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

* Bachelors degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
