As a LOB Consumer Credit Specialist Sr within PNC's Credit and Collateral organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH and Tysons Corner, VA.
Consumer credit loan/line underwriting experience
Ability to read and interpret credit policy
Familiarity with credit bureau data and lending principles
Written communication skills to synthesize findings for broader consumption
Ability to work through reviews in a timely manner with an attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively with partners in underwriting, decision management and various lines of defense
File review of individual automated decision transactions
Using the policies and risk procedures as a reference, validate the decision that was made
Review the data elements used in the decision for reasonableness
Review the broader credit file to notate any anomalies to alert the Credit Strategy team
Review results from automated control reports and execute manual controls
Confirm that knockout rules are functioning as intended
Confirm no changes in trends/volumes for referral rules
Execute manual controls as needed (ex. Review comparison of vendor/stated/verified income)
Feedback on policy/risk procedure content
Ensure that policies and risk procedure are specific enough and include enough why context to enable independent review without asking for verbal SME direction
Job Description
* Assesses activities associated with applicable business segment, including the credit approval process, policy and procedural compliance and portfolio risk management, credit monitoring, and reporting.
* Leverages in-depth knowledge of consumer credit policy to ensure adherence to policy. Deploys appropriate monitoring mechanisms of early performance to manage expected outcomes.
* Reviews analytic activities to ensure deep understanding of portfolio issues, trends and root causes in order to effectively manage the credit portfolios.
* Assesses credit transaction models utilized within defined asset class and activity. Ensures adherence to model management processes, such as model validation, testing, and maintenance, by ensuring the appropriate resources are in place to adhere to guidance.
* Follows and recognizes economic, regulatory, and other trends affecting borrowers. Initiates relevant analyses, by leveraging key analytic partners, and discussions to determine potential impacts on policy. Reviews validation outputs on data produced and delivered. Ensures that work set is completed and that the right conversations are taking place to execute deliverables.

Work Experience
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
