This position is a senior technical expert leading implementations of IPs middleware. They are accomplished at delivering connectivity software solutions and services across IPs and our trading partners diverse system environments. They also provide significant contributions toward improving connectivity quality and lower business costs.

Position is based in Memphis not eligible for remote work. Relocation available for the right candidate.

Key Accountabilities:

* Directs the adoption, engineering, and maintenance of connectivity technologies
* Develops software products to manage and automate connectivity development and infrastructure processes; and to provide the businesses with the speed and flexibility needed to manage customer and supplier electronic business documents
* Works with internal and external application system providers to engineer end to end connectivity solutions
* Coordinates server, data base, and network infrastructure installations, upgrades, and maintenance
* Directs connectivity related problem resolutions across Technical Services, Application Systems, and third party service providers such as Liaison and Paymetric
* Contributes to the technology vision for the Connectivity Roadmap
* Mentors and supports the Technical Services Middleware staff, Connectivity Engineers, and Connectivity Integration Developers

Scope:

Connectivity has become mission critical to IPs operations. Supply chain automation is becoming a requirement for conducting business with our trading partners. This position will provide connectivity for all information and application systems within a specific business or project, maximizing the return on IPs initial 17 million dollar investment in connectivity technology (Project Conectere).

Knowledge and Experience:

Required:

* Engineering Degree in Computer Science (as opposed to information systems)
* Designing solutions using API technologies, elastic search and cloud transformation tool such as service-oriented architectures (SOA).
* Creating, maintaining, documentation and versioning APIs in the API Management layer.
* Experience in development technologies like Web API, JavaScript, RESTful services, microservices, SQL, and Oracle.
* Demonstrable hand-on experience in Platform Technologies: Azure Cognitive Services, Azure DevOps, API Management, Azure Data Factory, and general cloud governance and security mechanisms are required.
* Communicate thoroughness of vision for system architecture topology, components design, networking and security of the proposed solutions through modeling and using tools like Visio.
* Extensive knowledge of webMethods and other middleware products including features, configuration, performance tuning, debugging, and internal design
* Ten years of experience developing commercial level software products employing windows and web user interfaces, distributed object component design, and relational databases
* Ten years of experience with system management processes
* Five years of experience maintaining UNIX and NT operating systems
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team skills
* Ability to conceptualize solutions, constructively debate alternatives, and build consensus

Preferred:

* Technical knowledge of API Management layers, Azure Cloud and Azure Cognitive Services
* Advanced degree in Computer Science
* Extensive peer network with outside companies, consultants, and universities
* Expert level experience in each of the following areas:
* Web API, Web Services
* OpenAPI specification (SWAGGER, RAML, & RESTful)
* Service Oriented Architectures
* Internet Technologies
* Messaging Technologies
* Connectivity Solution Design
* Architecture and Planning

Project Management:

* Connectivity Technology Knowledge
* API Management , Azure Cloud, WebMethods
* Security & Encryption
* Java, JavaScript and .Net Development Environments , XML
* Transformation technologies such as SWAGGER, RAML/YAML, XML, and JSON
* Object and Data Design
* Distributed System & Application Servers (CICS, .net, J2EE)
* Familiarity with IP Corporate, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Application Systems
