The Nurse Extern PRN assists in the treatment and care of patients under the direction of a registered nurse, in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Skills:

* Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to transcribe physicians orders
* Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partners needs
* Basic computer skills
* Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

* Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing required

* 1 + year of nursing school preferred

* Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required through the AHA or ARC
