Support Legal Risk department by assisting with case research, document retrieval, and updating the system of record. Facilitate communications with outside counsel and management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Make appropriate updates to Trust system of record. Facilitation and monitoring of communications with internal and external business partners to ensure internal and external timelines are achieved Assist with fact investigations. Document retrieval. Research pleadings with outside counsel and directly with courts. Stay current on knowledge of relevant state laws and individual judicial requirements. Stay current on knowledge of relevant investor requirements and delegations. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners. All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Five or more years of mortgage default or collections related experience
Basic knowledge of collections, loss mitigation, foreclosure and bankruptcy
Ability to work with limited supervision and recognize need to escalate
Ability to read and analyze basic mortgage and legal documents
Microsoft Office suite skills to include Word and Excel
Good written and oral communication skills
Research skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledgeable about state and federal litigation process and rules of civil procedure
Proficiency with banking software, deposit account systems, or mortgage servicing systems
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple, simultaneous deadlines
Ability to work effectively in teams and independently.
