What youll be able to do:
* Creative Designers find it easy to apply their knowledge and educational experience, working as a valued member of a team tasked with designing future mobility solutions.
* Create fresh, innovative ideas that show conceptual stretch and forward thinking.
* Be self-driven on project developments and work creatively within technical package/constraints
* Demonstrate ownership of your projects, and drive for high quality in your deliverables while maintaining timing discipline.
* Using a variety of media, including the very latest technology, Designers will create high quality sketches, renderings, and 3D CAID (Computer Aided Industrial Design) proposals for senior management reviews.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the development of scale and full size clay models ultimately interfacing with program engineering teams in the development of proposals based on their designs.
* Portfolio submission in addition to a resume is required to be considered for this position. (Design candidates will have portfolios that exhibit work on production and conceptual complete vehicle exterior designs and details.)
The minimum requirements we seek:
* Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design or Product Design
* 4+ years of experience in the Design industry
* 2+ years of Automotive Interior design experience
Our preferred requirements:
* Ability to think strategically, with an awareness of the global nature of our markets.
* Must have exceptional design intuition, strong problem solving skills and an outstanding ability to visually communicate through sketches, and renderings.
* Ability to think three-dimensionally with a strong emphasis on proportions and a refined sense of graphics and form.
* CAID training/experience in both 2D and 3D is highly desired. Alias 3D, SketchbookPro, Photoshop, VRED experience preferred
* Experience using Design Thinking Methodologies.
* Experience using and/or an awareness of advanced 3D digital tools (Maya, Zbrush, Modo, Gravity Sketch, C4D, After Effects, Premier)
