Our Infrastructure Specialists are responsible for keeping up with these latest and greatest of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Systems Administrator - Unix will complete the following primary duties:

* Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.
* Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
* Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.

In addition to your primary duties, you may also perform the following tasks:
* Setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
* Interact with users and evaluate vendor products.
* Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
* Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
* May be assigned responsibility for the management of the systems administration function, including associated staff.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Network Engineering/Electronic.
* Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
* 10+ years in Information Technology, last 7 must be in LINUX/UNIX System Administration.
* Knowledge of information technology networking, hardware, firmware, application software, operating system software, and database management systems.
* Capable of tuning systems, applications and databases for performance, troubleshooting systems with complex interfaces integrated in multi-layered networks.
* Knowledge of Information Assurance and IT Security capable of designing and implementing user authorization, credential examination and system access monitoring and intrusion/penetration alert notification.
* Knowledge of fault tolerant system implementation utilizing Storage Area Networks (SAN) and industry standard fail-over software applications and techniques.
* Requires certification as an IAT III, DoDD 8140.01/DoDI 8570.01-M.
