Duties: Provide safety and customer service-based leadership for a large 24/7 maintenance team with multiple work schedules who support the production of multiple product platforms. Use continuous improvement tools, leadership skills, and be responsible for fostering a team environment. Responsible for eliminating maintenance and reliability losses on key platforms and develop the same skillset within the team. Responsible for building Technical capabilities in Operation and Maintenance Teams and Equipment Owners to deliver overall line results supporting the business needs. Design, deploy, and facilitate Equipment/Asset Care Strategy for designated platforms, including implementing Theory & Sequence of Operation, Maximo-Maintenance foundation systems across Processing, Packaging, Utilities and Facilities' equipment's. Analyze Maximo and MQIS data to understand maintenance and reliability losses, and driving improvements through analytical tools, theory and best practices. Design, develop and implement Technical Training Program for Mechanics and Operators. Ideate, lead and drive cost savings initiatives for the Plant. Own Maintenance Project management and Planning and Scheduling systems for the priority/assigned manufacturing Line and auxiliary equipment focusing on Maintenance and Reliability losses, Breakdown Elimination and Defect Handling process. Design and develop one-click automated reports using visual basic and Microsoft SQL queries to analyze, track and report Maintenance and Reliability losses and KPI's using Maximo and MQIS data. Coach and mentor the Maintenance Team including ten (10) direct reports on DDS processes, Global Maximo, and Reliability standards to deepen team's technical mastery on Maximo, Maintenance Planning and Scheduling processes, and ensure they adhere to General Mills Maximo and Maintenance standards. This position supervises 10 professional employees who hold the following titles: Journeyman, Mechanic Level 2 & Crew Leader, Mechanic Level 3, and, Controls Specialist.
Requirements: Employer will accept Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field, followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a related occupation. Position requires 4 years of experience in each of the following: 1) Leading and deploying an Equipment/Asset Care Strategy for a manufacturing facility; 2) Working with all elements of a Preventive/Predictive/Corrective/Condition based Maintenance program, including Breakdown Elimination, Defect Handling, Dice Chart processes and Global Engineering and Maintenance standards; 3) Applying advance knowledge of Maximo (Computer Maintenance Management System), MQIS (Manufacturing and Quality Information System) and its different modules to design and develop Equipment/Asset Care strategies for critical packaging equipment; 4) Working with a consumer-packaged goods manufacturing facility, including experience working with complex processing and packaging equipment technologies and troubleshooting techniques and processes; 5) Managing Capital and Maintenance Reliability improvement Projects to drive Cost Savings and Maintenance standards; 6) Developing and delivering Technical Training Modules for Operators, Mechanics and Engineering teams to build technical mastery within the crew; and, 7) Designing and developing automated one click reporting tools and analyzing the technical data obtained through MQIS and Maximo to identify and resolve gaps in equipment reliability and overall line performance.
