Job Description

We are currently recruiting highly qualified candidates, whose background and career goals meet our needs, for the following position in our Huntsville, AL facility. Please note that due to our Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.
Position Title: Production Planner/Scheduler
Job Purpose:
Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle. Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
* Effectively be able to oversee the material and discrete job releases for 1 to 2 customers depending on the bill of material size and complexity.
* Identifying material constraints.
* Monitors material and maintains a material status that effectively communicates the material position and production plan for any customer order in the MRP system.
* Releases discrete jobs to the manufacturing floor according to the production plan in which the material supports.
* Works all material issues due to attrition and other unforeseen issues that may impact the planned production kit releases.
* Ensures that material is processed in the MRP system in a timely fashion in order for the customer orders to be shipped and invoiced seamlessly.
Education and Experience:
* 0-2 years material experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain
* Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
* Detail oriented; pays close attention to detail
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Energetic and willing to learn additional skills
