We are hiring a Consumer Product Marketing Manager to support our Product team responsible for establishing Messenger as a leader in Privacy and Safety. Some of the initiatives on this pillar include moving Messenger to end-to-end encryption, keeping people safe on the platform, developing and expanding privacy-preserving features and ensuring Messenger is compliant with regulatory policies. The candidate will be responsible for leading the go-to-market strategy for new features as well as partnering with Product, Policy, Communications and other teams to develop a strong Privacy and Safety narrative and launch competitive products in this space. This role requires an ability to communicate key messages to a variety of audiences including consumers, Policymakers and other key Privacy and Safety advocates. The right candidate can effectively be both strategic and execution-oriented. They are good at building consensus and influencing others through strong marketing strategy, while being able to dive into details and bring messaging to life to a broad/diverse audience.
Consumer Product Marketing Manager, Messenger Privacy & Wellbeing Responsibilities
* Create and execute go to market plans to launch new products and achieve business goals
* Develop a strong Privacy and Safety narrative that can accurately communicate our features core values and resonate with key audiences
* Drive ongoing competitive and trend analysis to inform product and marketing roadmaps
* Craft & develop compelling audience-specific messages and programs and partner with creative teams to deliver creative & communications
* Be the expert in products target audiences, representing users to internal teams
* Drive cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering and design to achieve business goals
Minimum Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in marketing with a consumer focus
* Experience in the Internet and/or technology industry
* Analytical and problem-solving experience
* Experience with launching innovative and disruptive products
* Experience partnering with and influencing Product Management
* Experience partnering with cross-functional teams (internally and externally)
* Project management experience
Preferred Qualifications
* Effectiveness working independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and fluid environment, with experience adapting, spotting issues early, and escalating
* Keen interest and understanding of the policy landscape
* Bachelor's Degree in Business/Marketing/Political Science, or other related discipline
* Experience in a startup environment
* Experience to easily transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
* MBA or Masters Degree in Public Policy
