Every day, people come to Facebook to connect with friends and family, discover what's going on in the world, interact with businesses, find potential customers, and build community. Facebooks Global Operations team exists to help them. This role is on the fast-growing Child Safety team within Global Operations. The team collaborates closely with product, engineering, legal/policy, law enforcement and NGO partners around the world to combat child abuse imagery, grooming and minor sexualization on our platforms. The role is a great opportunity to work on a high-impact, mission-driven team that is well-resourced and strongly supported by the broader org. We're targeting an intellectually curious and creative individual who is comfortable operating in ambiguity a strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. You have a passion for developing others and bring out the best in your teams. You will work directly with our cross-functional team (engineering, product, etc.), as well as all of the teams within Global Operations, to execute against our global safety operations and processes.

Safety Manager, Community Operations Responsibilities

* Provide mentorship, guidance and career development to members of your team

* Lead and enable a high-performing team to deliver on goals by providing superb 1:1 support, and enabling deeper, more scalable solutions

* Help shape team strategy and vision, establish team goals and work with direct reports and leaders across the organization on strategies for executing, measuring progress and sharing results

* Deliver projects involving quantitative analysis, industry research, and strategy development, working directly with global cross-functional teams to implement next-generation community experiences through process, policy and product improvements

* Be able to effectively zoom in and out to address near term business needs as well as setting a long-term strategy for Community Support

* Build strategic relationships with global and cross-functional partners to drive improvements to the community support experience

* Communicate process, policy and product concepts effectively to leadership, business and cross-functional partners

Minimum Qualifications

* 6+ years of experience working in operations, domains such as online operations, informational systems, compliance, risk management, policy, legal operations or management consulting

* 2+ years of people management or leadership experience

* Demonstrated experience influencing across functional boundaries and/or globally

* Analytical and problem-solving experience

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience Trust & Safety, Risk Ops or Investigations

* BA/BS degree or higher
