The Facebook Reality Labs Research (FRL-R) Audio Team is looking for an Electrical Engineer to help bring cutting edge experiences and hardware to life through collaboration and commitment. In our Advanced Development projects, we push the boundaries of real time audio experiences with a combination of mechanics, sensors, hardware, firmware, and software. To make this possible, we need a well-rounded team that nurtures kinship, fosters good communication, and is sympathetic to the challenges in these diverse domains. In this role, you will be cooperating with other engineers and researchers to design, build, and test prototype electrical systems for future consumer augmented reality audio experiences. You will be collaborating and contributing at a deeply technical level and also guiding the efforts of team members who will be supporting you (for example, external vendors). You will design hardware that includes audio and power supply circuitry, small microcontrollers, large System On Chip devices, FPGAs, MEMS sensors, and cameras. You will be part of the team working on hardware design, bring up, debugging, manufacturing, and supporting the end users of your work. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with ambiguity, nurtures a sense of ownership, and enjoys an honest and considerate environment. We have a wide variety of problems that need solutions, and we depend on people who are comfortable with embracing a creative, thoughtful approach to both short term and long term problem solving.
