Facebook is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Associate General Counsel to join the Legal Departments Privacy Team and lead the Companys M&A initiatives and advise on a range of privacy, data protection, and compliance issues related to partnerships, acquisitions, integrations, and other business development opportunities. You will be working on industry leading- and cutting-edge M&A transactions, ensuring commitment to privacy and managing our compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations. Associate General Counsel, Privacy M&A Responsibilities

* Lead privacy M&A due diligence and work cross functionally on all M&A related matters for Facebook and its affiliates

* Partner with cross functional partners like Product, Corporate Development, Privacy, Policy, and Integration teams through the lifecycle of M&A transactions

* Support major M&A transactions and complex strategic initiatives

* Support and manage internal M&A and privacy initiatives and policies

* Coordinate and manage outside domestic and international privacy counsel

Minimum Qualifications

* J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar

* 8+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house experience

* Experience with global privacy laws, regulations and privacy programs

* Experience using business judgment and with client counseling

Preferred Qualifications

* Technical or engineering background or experience

* Experience with litigation, regulatory, or product counseling

* Experience advancing projects in a multi-stakeholder environment

* Experience prioritizing work and providing advice under deadlines
