Position Summary : Functions in leadership role on assigned unit(s).- Oversees the provision of high quality, cost effective care through supervision of others. - Promotes patient education. - Demonstrates leadership and organizational skills.- Collaborates with the Nurse Manager and directs workforce to accomplish patient care services on day shift. Maintains collaborative relationship with medical staff and other departments to improve service and enhance quality. Performs nursing duties in assigned department, including direct and indirect patient care.
Required Skill Set: Able to make decisions based on critical thinking skills and knowledge for many different areas of the hospital.- Good communication with outside contacts, physicians, nursing staff and peers, and ancillary departments. - Ability to work effectively with computer based charting and other clinical software programs- Adaptability to change, organizational skills- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment in the completion of assignments and duties- Basic computer skills required.
Minimum Requirements: Must have ICU Experience .Associates required, Bachelor's preferred- Minimum 1-3 years experience.- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English- Ability to speak/write English language fluently.
Required License / Certification: Licensed RN in the State of Arizona. - BLS, ACLS and PALS certification as required.
