This position will be eligible to participate in a comprehensive benefit plan which includes a pension plan as defined below. Pension--Steward shall make bi-weekly contributions to the Nurses and Local 813 IBT Retirement Fund (the "Plan,") equal to 5% of "W-2 Compensation" earned in a "LMA Position" by each "Eligible Employee" during the applicable bi-weekly period. The critical care RN assumes full responsibility for the quality of nursing care she/he provides to patients and their family members. Included in such responsibility is: the health maintenance; teaching; counseling; collaborative planning; comfort and restoration of optimal functioning. Responsibility often may additionally include the dignified death of our patients. Also, within the parameters of her/his previous and continuing education experiences and the Nurse Practice Act, may delegate nursing activities to other RN's and/or health care personnel. The critical care RN provides care that addresses the specific needs of all age groups from adolescent to elderly, and is also individualized to a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, non-English speaking, and potential victims of abuse. She/he must incorporate knowledge and understanding of our commitment to patient rights, our mission, vision and values into her/his nursing practice and in accordance with the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services. The CCU / Tele Float RN will be primarily assigned to the CCU however will also float to telemetry units or temporary locations boarding telemetry patients as the needs of the hospital dictate. The CCU / Tele Float RN must additionally maintain required competencies to perform in both CCU and telemetry setting

Requirements: BSN Required, 3 years critical care experience or completion of GSMC transition to Critical Care course, MA RN lic., BLS, ACLS, TCAR or TNCC.
