As Instrumentation and Controls Technician you will perform inspection, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide variety of industrial instrumentation and control systems used in the production, treatment and distribution of pure water systems and waste treatment systems, HVAC systems, pneumatic systems, mechanical systems, environmental systems, and clean room environmental systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Performs installation, maintenance, repairs, calibration and testing on a wide variety of industrial instrumentation that records, indicates, controls and regulates level, flow, pressure, temperature and humidity, vacuum, position and environmental analysis and control.
* Troubleshoots power and control circuits, programmable logic controller (PLC) and direct digital control (DDC) controlled systems; controls loop theory and application, variable speed drives (VFD) and associated components.
* Makes periodic preventative maintenance inspections of all electronic and electromechanical metering, control & regulating instruments.
* Lays out, installs and places into service new metering devices.
* Reads and interprets wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings and specifications in making installations or performing major repair work.
* Must wear ANSI safety shoes composite toe and personal protective equipment.
* Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
* Daily and punctual attendance in the job site is required.

Job Specifications, Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
* Considerable knowledge and practical applications of the concepts and principles of electronic and pneumatic process controls.
* Knowledge and understanding of the functions of electronic pressure, level, temperature and other transmitters.
* Skill in the application of operational principles, basic programming, and general principles of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
* Ability to keep records, manage multiple project schedules, prepare accurate reports, and demonstrate communication skills.
* Knowledge and adherence to all company and client contractor Health, Safety & Environment policies and procedures.
* Ability to perform building operations, respond to alarms, and implement corrective actions.
* Skill in utilizing computer software (e-mail, Word, Excel) to accomplish a variety of tasks.
* Must provide his/her own basic tools (screw drivers, wrenches, pliers, hammer, etc.) to perform work duties.
* Knowledge of the operation of programmable logic controllers and man machine interface software and hardware.
* Skill in diagnosing and making changes to PLC and SCADA/HMI software and hardware.

* Technical Problem Solving Troubleshoots, diagnoses, analyzes, and identifies systems malfunctions to determine the source and cause of the problem.
* Electrical Basic knowledge of electrical equipment, components, instruments, and systems, including their design, installation, testing, uses, repair, or maintenance. Skilled in operating a variety of electrical tools and instruments.
* High School diploma or possession of a GED Certificate (Required)
* 5 years of experience with knowledge of the maintenance, repair and calibration of electrical control systems (Required)
* A combination of appropriate experience and education may be substituted for the minimum experience and education requirement
* 3+ years: PLC programming experience (helpful for SOO creation)
* 2+ years: On-site construction support (coordinating daily with construction, answering RFIs)
