Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

The Equities Analytic Consultant will be responsible for providing enhanced data, analytic, and reporting capabilities for the Cash Equities, Equities Finance, and Derivatives product sales and trading lines of business. Part of the CIB Sales & Trading Analytics team, this role will partner closely with CIB business leaders, Sales & Trading teams, line of business COOs, the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT), and various support groups across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Drive ad-hoc and strategic analytic support across the various Equities product teams and senior leadership
Partner with business stakeholders to optimize the current suite of business intelligence reporting dashboards and help drive the future-state requirements
Develop and expand relationships with CIB leadership, line of business COOs, Enterprise Information Technology (EIT), and various support groups.
Serve as an extension of the line of business COO teams by providing analytic support for strategic initiatives and day-to-day business management efforts.
Prototype new reports and work closely with CIB data partners and EIT to prioritize, govern, and enhanced recurring production reports and dashboards.
Champion the business case for a data-driven CIB organization by providing actionable, fact-based business insight and analysis.
Contribute thought leadership across the organization utilizing technical, domain, and business knowledge.
Meet the needs of each line of business supported while ensuring conformance with data integrity standards.
Stay current on new data and reporting technologies and participate in proof of concept (PoC) efforts as needed.
Partner with other areas of CIB to share best practices and collaborate on new initiatives.

Required Qualifications
* 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling demonstrated through work or military experience; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
* Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management

Other Desired Qualifications
* Experience in the reporting and analytic function within a Sales & Trading organization
* Proven ability to effectively interpret data, stimulate deeper analysis, influence decision-making, and create business value
* Familiarity with CIB Sales & Trading systems (e.g., Broadridge, Fidessa)
* Experience with QlikView and Qlik Sense or similar business intelligence and data visualization software
* Fluency in SQL programming language and relational database concepts
* Knowledge and understanding of the Corporate & Investment Banking Chief Operating Office (COO) organization
* Experience in a large corporate, multi-line business organization
* Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
