JOB SUMMARY

This temporary phlebotomist position works as part of a dynamic team in delivering a safe and effective service for the mass delivery of COVID-19 vaccine(s). Phlebotomists will be trained to administer vaccines to patients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

* Administering COVID-19 vaccinations

* Documentation
\t
* Calling patients for next steps
\t
* Thermal scanning and door screening
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Phlebotomy training and experience is preferred.
Knowledge of principles of safe and accurate medical administration.
Knowledge of the 5 rights: right patient, right medication, right dose, right route, right time.
Ability to accurately document patient information in accordance with organizational policies, regulations and procedures. Familiarity with HIPPA regulations.
Ability to give injections and draw blood.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent bedside manner and ability to make patients feel at ease. Appears friendly, reassuring and approachable to patients.
Ability to take instruction from a doctor.
Familiarity with medical charts and records.
High attention to detail.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: H.S. Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required
- Phlebotomy training and experience strongly preferred.
