The Manager, UX/UI Design is responsible for leading the User Experience and User Interface design team to enhance the experience of OptumServe users. This role leads a team of designers driving end-to-end branded experiences and cross - channel consistency. The Manager oversees team members engaged across multiple product-oriented Scrum teams, working to ensure a smooth process and adherence to standards. The Manager works closely with product managers, operations leaders, program/contract leaders, project managers.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Leads UX teams in many aspects of human centered design: research, user requirements definition/analysis, concepting, prototyping, and user/usability testing
* Advocate for innovative, humancentered and consistent experiences across digital product portfolio
* Guides the team in balancing user needs with business objectives and business value
* Defines and manages teams' deliverables, timelines, estimates / budgets and contractor needs to ensure projects fulfill time / scope / budget parameters
* Assists in developing UX strategies, and ensures the team executes in accordance
* Leads team members in Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high quality, incremental work deliverables
* Accountable for team's adherence to design/brand standards and to ensure user experiences are seamless and consistent across the end-to-end experience
* Oversee team members' contributions to multiple digital products' vision, strategy, roadmaps and backlogs
* Reviews analytics, analysis and research work performed by the team and assists the team with reporting and forming recommendations into the product organization
* Stays current with market-driven best practices within the channels we influence; online, mobile, telephonic, social, email and inperson
* Oversees UX/UI participation in development and maintenance of digital products based on technical feasibility, usability findings and industry standards
* Willingness to constructively challenge current thinking across the enterprise, pushing boundaries and driving change that will deliver exceptional user centric experiences

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or related years of experience
* Equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience will be considered.
* 3+ years of experience in UX, marketing, design, product management or strategy role
* 2+ years of experience managing a team
* 2+ years of experience evaluating the work of others, providing constructive feedback, and coaching/mentoring team members
* History of leading teams engaged in interaction design, graphic design and/or marketing
* Direct professional experience cultivating engagement across teams and leaders, with an emphasis on building trusted and lasting relationships.
* Professional history of interacting with and garnering support from senior leaders across the business.
* Professional experience working with user experience, digital, product/capability management, and business/system analysis teams.
* Work experience in an agile development environment

* Self motivated, excellent communication, an open mind, the ability to thrive in multidisciplinary teams, and the skills to balance great design with short deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, user-centered design or equivalent
* Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, Sketch, Invision, among others)
* Experience in visual design, interaction design, and familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS and JavaScript)
* Experience developing prototypes and participating in innovation exercises
* Experience with group facilitation, user interviews, heuristic evaluations, task analysis, usability test implementation, moderation and analysis
* Agile experience
* Past history of leading a digital transformation

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
