Boeing Security & Fire Protection (S&FP) is currently seeking a Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist to join their team in Herndon, VA.

Position Responsibilities:

* Perform compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure adherence with government and company regulations/requirements, identify deficiencies and recommend corrective action

* Conduct Administrative Inquiries (e.g., collect and analyze data, conduct interviews and write reports) on personnel, processes and situations

* Protect government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures and assist less experienced personnel with Internal Security Controls

* Develop, implement and administer an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements

* Perform Personnel Security processes (work with databases, review files, conduct interviews, submit paperwork to customers and schedules briefings) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses

* Develop and conduct a security awareness training and education program to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information

* Perform Physical Security duties and responsibilities within the Boeing Herndon facility (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas)

This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

* Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years

* 1+ years of experience working with National Industrial Security Programs, Special Access Programs, and Sensitive Compartmented Information programs

* A Counter Intelligence or Full Scope polygraph

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

* Bachelor's degree or higher

* Experience in a role that required Project Management skills

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
