Job Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. These duties include but are not limited to: Performing maintenance on tote lift systems, dicers, tapers, weight tech baggers, and on any other equipment as needed to ensure it is in good working condition; Making any necessary repairs and adjustments to production equipment; Breakdown and set up of production equipment during set up and break down of each shift; Completing any required cutting of and welding of equipment as needed; Working with other Maintenance team members on different projects as needed; Completing all PMs assigned to the best ability and in a timely manner, and complete any other duties as assigned/requested by Supervisor. Team member in this position will be part of the HAZMAT team. Team Member in this position must have good English skills to read manuals, communicate verbal instructions for repairs/installations, and to effectively communicate any issues/problems to the Supervisor in writing or verbally. Team member in this position must be able to work in a fast pace environment, be able to stand and walk for duration of the shift, occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50lbs, and be able and willing to work on elevated platforms and lift equipment up to 30 feet above ground level. Must have six (6) consecutive months of employment with a single employer within the last 24 months and six (6) months of maintenance experience or completion of one (1) year in a technical school. Maintenance Generalists who join Tyson of Rogers are eligible to receive up to a $5,000.00 Sign-on bonus!
