The Diversity and Inclusion team serves as a center of excellence for the enterprise, leading the development of D&I business strategy, partnering with leadership across lines of business and global markets, providing subject matter expertise on relevant inclusion practices, and enhancing our inclusion brand both inside and outside the company.

The Senior Manager, DEI Strategy & Operations reports to the SVP, Chief Diversity Officer for The Walt Disney Company. The essential characteristics of the ideal candidate include for this individual contributor role include:

* Can independently construct, manage and report financials for the team
* Strong strategic planning skills, seeing how to connect dots across the organization and anticipate needs of the executive team
* Understanding of/respect for the DEI practice
* Ability to creatively solve operational problems
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to build trusting relationships across stakeholder groups

Responsibilities:

Support the Chief Diversity Officer by facilitating the execution of organizational priorities through coordination, communications and project management.

* Managing financial schedules associated with the Five-Year Plan and Annual Operating Plan cycles
* Lead and manage strategic projects, working with internal and external stakeholders to drive projects to completion
* Provide ongoing status updates, track work-streams and ensure progress is being made and deadlines are met
* Lead research, stakeholder coordination, content development and preparation for high-level presentations to senior leaders; creating visual aids (and/or working with designers)
* Ensure coordination of common connection points and integration with key functional partners (i.e. HR, Finance, Business Unit DEI/leaders, DCCR, Workforce Tech)
* Curating content/prepping the team for our regular staff meetings as well as the Diversity Roundtable sessions
* Developing internal communications tools to amplify work within the DEI function
* Facilitating the Hoshin Kanri (annual work planning) process
* Triaging and delegating incoming requests from external organizations and internal groups
* Planning functional off-site sessions, including content curation, vendor management and collaborations; oversee initiatives related to team culture
* Joining regular cadence of senior leader meetings to grasp direction and drive alignment among stakeholders
* Helping assess and drive the reputation of the DEI function

Basic Qualifications:

* 5-7 years of progressive work experience in similar roles
* Excellent project and program management experience with solid organizational skills
* Capital and operating expense budgeting and forecasting
* People management and/or influencing experience
* Demonstrated hands-on expertise in Microsoft Office productivity tools and Apple tools
* Proven ability to influence without formal authority, taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to completion
* Understanding of driving work through ARCI or other accountability processes
* Demonstrated business savvy and confidence to interface with all levels
* Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
* Demonstrated confidence in an entrepreneurial environment, always seeking breakthrough and better ways of operating
* Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed environment
* Strong bias for transparency and collaboration

Preferred Qualifications:

* 3-5 years DEI or DEI adjacent role
