The Continuous Improvement Supervisor, for the Logan South (Ogden) Facility, is a key influencing, high visibility role within the Logan Site Leadership Team. This role reports to the Practical Process Improvement Business Systems Manager at the main Logan Campus. The Logan South Site is a startup site that will need a continuous improvement culture from the ground up.
The keys to success in this role include strong change management effectiveness, operational/process excellence and strategic implementation of PPI and Lean practices. This role will be primarily focused in an operations environment. Supporting a culture of continuous improvement in manufacturing, quality, and supporting groups (planning, purchasing, etc.). As well as work cross functionally back and forth between the South Campus and Main Campus to drive standardization.
Candidates cannot be afraid to jump headfirst into projects they may not understand and take ownership of facilitating the team2019s success. Candidates should also be supporters of rapid change and have the ability to convince others to buy into that mentality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a change agent on the floor and constantly challenge the status quo.
* Provide leadership in the areas of PPI and Lean by mentoring site teams to deliver results.
* Provide guidance for chartering of projects and kaizen events.
* Implementation of PPI and lean manufacturing practices (5S, Visual Controls, A3, SMED, Flow, GEMBA2019s, Standard Work, etc.)
* Manage and facilitate continuous improvement projects and Kaizen events to improve productivity and accelerate growth.
* Capture & record training and help coordinate the measurement, idea generation, tracking and reporting of PPI savings impact
* Identify, prioritize, and lead PPI initiatives that are aligned with Value Stream business objectives.
* Assist in developing site improvement goals and objectives and coordinate and champion activities to meet or exceed those goals
* Assists in managing the Productivity Funnel process for the site, through all value streams, to ensure that projects have clear ownership within the business to drive execution.
* Partner with management to drive ownership of CI activities within the site.
* Ability to train site resources in the areas of PPI and lean principles implementation
* Performs other duties and responsibilities, as needed.

Technical Skills
* Strong preference for experience with databases and complex data analysis (SQL, Access, Macros, Tableau, Minitab, ERP/MRP, etc.)
* Experienced in advanced data collection, measuring, analysis, improvement and control. Ability to deliver fact- based decisions and apply a mindset for Lean Management.
* Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to master a variety of software applications (SAP, iConnect, Dploy, Visio)
* Experience with quality systems and deviations/quality investigations
* Detailed knowledge of quality theory and lean tools and methodologies (5S, Visual Controls, A3, SMED, Flow, GEMBA2019s, Standard Work, etc.)
* Demonstrated ability to solve problems through effective application of root cause analysis and countermeasure methodology.
* Ability to accurately and quickly assess a situation on the manufacturing floor and determine and implement corrective measures to maintain flow of production.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
* Preferred 4+ years experience with continuous improvement
* Preferred 4+ years working experience in a manufacturing environment with ISO quality standards.
* Leadership or supervisory experience a plus.
* Proficient computer skills with a desired knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
* Experience working in process manufacturing preferably related to med device or related field.
* Experience working in recognized Lean business system and a solid understanding of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing/Enterprise philosophies
* Experience coaching alignment between strategic business plans and lean improvement plans.
* Proven implementation track record delivering results.
