Job Description
Join the Investment Management team and complete reporting and support functions for the Companys investment portfolio. Our investment portfolio consists of public and private bonds, hedge funds, private equity, money market, mortgage loan and real estate investments. Prepare investment-related reports and schedules for customers and constituents, e.g., investment income results, variance analysis, income by asset type, realized capital gains/losses by asset type by external reporting segment, summary level investment reports, 10K/Q and Annual Statement schedules, and various ad hoc, miscellaneous reports. Work independently based on strategic direction to develop net investment income and invested asset estimates by investment portfolios for Budgets/Strategic Plans and Forecasts. Collaborate with and support business segments financial reporting and related investments reporting for Budgets/Strategic Plans and Forecasts, provide recommendations and influence strategic decision making. Provide analyses and documentation for internal and external audit requests and be recognized as subject matter experts.

The position is dynamic and fast paced, with standard and ad hoc reporting changing based on market environment and trends. Candidates must have the ability to meet critical deadlines within tight timeframes, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong analytical skills, ability to identify and resolve problems independently, plan and set objectives impacting units goals, and assist manager in developing strategic targets for the unit. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, has demonstrated leadership abilities and provide informal work direction to junior staff. Individual must demonstrate significant attention to detail as data is used across the Company and levels within the organization and is utilized to make critical business decisions.
***This role will require reporting to the Hartford, CT office to work in person a few days a week post COVID restrictions.

Required Qualifications
5 years experience in accounting and/or finance and/or investments and/or operations, may include internships.
OR
3 years experience in accounting and/or finance and/or investments and/or operations with a Masters degree

Experience with SAP S/4 HANA or Oracle Hyperion
Masters degree
