The Integration and Test (I&T) Systems Engineer will join our Radar Sensor Systems (RSS) product line team to perform integration and test activities in support of lab and field testing of a state of the art system of systems. The I&T Engineer will work as a test conductor of the prime integration team. As test conductor the engineer will be responsible for supporting a multi-disciplined and multi-organizational test teams to integrate, test, and demonstrate this new technology suite.
As a member of the Integration and Test team, you will establish test environments in Systems Integration Lab (SIL); work with the development teams to integrate and test newly developed simulators, emulators, and new production hardware, as well as document results, troubleshoot issues. Upon deployment you will rotate between the customer site(s) and the Dallas SIL with other test team members to perform field testing: coordinate the customer and subcontractors to set up and execute tests, collect data, document test results, troubleshoot issues, and interface with the Dallas office. At the Dallas SIL you will implement change requests, perform system level regression tests, and participate in technical product reviews. The I&T Systems Engineer will regularly interface with other engineering teams and program management to ensure consistent application of engineering best practices using 6 Sigma to foster a culture of continuous process improvement.
Required Skills:
* Minimum 8 years of Systems Engineering and/or System Integration experience including prior experience in a Lead role in Systems Integration Laboratories (SILs).
* Developing and verifying test plans and procedures.
* Experience as test conductor responsible for leading multi-disciplined and multi-organizational test teams
* Utilize lab / field test equipment for testing and troubleshooting
* Develop and influence test objectives collaboratively with program engineering management
* Compile and analyze test data and provide detailed reports of test results; perform root-cause analysis and apply corrective actions for test failures
* Accountable for documentation completeness and control; develop and present Test Readiness Reviews
* Capable of making real-time decisions and leading multi-organizational teams to ensure testing activities are successful
* Experience creating integration and verification strategies to support efficiency improvement
* Experience interpreting requirements and translating knowledge points into test plans and procedures
* Strong written/verbal communication skills including working with Microsoft Office Suite of Tools.
* Must be able to support up to 30% business travel for 12 months to out of state test location(s)
* An active and in-scope DOD Secret US security clearance is required.
Desired Skills:
* Experience working with both customers and internal engineering disciplines
* Working knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
* Experience developing and implementing configuration control of products and documentation
* Knowledge of Platform interfaces and strong experience verifying products against Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
* Knowledge of MIL-STD-1553 Interface Guidelines.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
